im currently farming the charr at nolani (use the lever and a whole lot of charr for u to kill) for charr hides (for fur square) i tried to use glad's defence to get rid of the them, but as soon as i pop glad's defence it dissappears from my stance/enchant/hex/condition bar. and i have no idea why. i have a theory that since there are charr stalkers and flamewielders so nonmelee attacks cause the stance to end

second question is abut ettin farming. i read alot of guides and all of them seem to focus on kill one ettin at a time using sword skills. wouldnt the same build for griffen farming works on ettins too since they are both worriors. since the griffen farming build seems to be alot more efficent at killing mobs.

Search for one of my post i got how i do it on there with just basic warrior skills and normal armor and mods. If u need further help my in game name is Dracion the Great jus add him and message when i come on which will be like 8 hours from now after i get some sleep(yeaa no school exams done). Also i take on up to 4 ettins( 4 being very hard but i rarely see groups of 4 mostly 2 or 3).

2. ettins heal themselves. so unless you can shut down or out-damage multiple healing sigs, it has to be one at a time.

3. ettins come in small groups

Ettins are a pain to kill all at once. I can't do it effectively with my Warrior or my Elementalist. They are warrior types and have lots of armor, and they heal themselves, so its much better to pick them off one by one, you can do more damage with focused fire than mass damage.

Take 1 disrupting skill .. there is one for axe (I cant remember the name .. disrupting chop??) but if it hits it stops the skill for 20 secs ... then kill that ettin ... simple

Charr do have wild blow. I have a build excellent at killing the Charr if you want it.
